Comet Pan-STARR C/2011 L4

"C/2011 L4 is a non-periodic comet discovered in June 2011 that became visible to the naked eye when it was near perihelion in March 2013. It was discovered using the Pan-STARRS telescope located near the summit of Haleakala, on the island of Maui in Hawaii."

This is a single image taken with a Canon RebelXT camera and Nikon 180mm lens.  Exposure details are 2 sec at ISO 400.  It was taken March 12, 2013 near San Simon, AZ with the Dos Cabezas Mountains in the foreground.
